Boys Lacrosse

Great Valley Youth Lacrosse Association is available for boys in 1st through 8th grade who reside in the Great Valley School District in Pennsylvania. The boys program participates in the Chester County Lacrosse Association (CCLA) league.

Through skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship, coaches and volunteers work to create a positive, supportive culture that is passionate about the sport of lacrosse. The program is focused on fostering an encouraging, fun learning environment open to beginners and more experienced lacrosse players. Our goal is to create well-rounded young athletes, both on and off the field.

• The recreational league spring lacrosse season will take place March 15 thru May 22.
• Practices will be held at Great Valley Middle School.
• No prior lacrosse experience is required.
• Equipment requirements:
  • Boys lacrosse stick. NO fiddle sticks!
  • Boys lacrosse helmet
  • Helmet Shield (Optional)
  • Boys lacrosse elbow and shoulder pads
  • Mouthguard
  • Cup
  • Cleats
  • Any player who comes to practice or a game without the required lacrosse equipment will not be permitted to play. This is a safety rule and there are no exceptions. Please remember that all jewelry must be removed prior to all practices and games
  • Divisions will be grouped together by the following grades:
    • 1st & 2nd
    • 3rd & 4th
    • 5th & 6th
    • 7th & 8th

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY! Great Valley Youth Lacrosse expects that your son is committed to making practices and games. GVYLA is 100% organized and facilitated by volunteers. To be fair to coaches, teammates, and the teams we play against, we expect that by registering, your son(s) is(are) committed to making practices and games.

USA Lacrosse Membership

USA Lacrosse is the national governing body of men and women's lacrosse in the United States. It provides a leadership role in virtually every aspect of the game and has more than 450,000 members throughout the United States, and offers programs and services to inspire participation while protecting the integrity of the sport.

Membership in USA Lacrosse is required to participate in Great Valley Youth Lacrosse. Your membership will be added (or updated) automatically when you checkout at registration. More details about USA Lacrosse Membership benefits can be found at www.usalacrosse.com/membership.
